In Theresia Hauer's Patisserie & Confiserie, the finest nougat-marzipan balls with a distinctive taste, covered in dark or white chocolate, were created from 1850 onwards.
IT´S CHOCOLATE
AND IT COMES IN A HAT.
In the 19th century, Theresia Hauer delivered her cakes and balls in hatboxes. The current design is a nod to that.
The triangular shape is a reference to the Cheops Pyramid, which Theresia Hauer's son-in-law Karl Graf Leiningen visited with her daughter Christine on the occasion of the excavations of the Sphinx, bringing with them balls and cakes from their own patisserie & confectionery.
